How do you express yourself? What do you do?
I keep life as simple as possible. In the past, I have tried to make things happen and wished for the world to turn faster in my direction. I found that only caused stress and disappointment. I don’t do much; except the obvious…work hard and do my best to keep all people next to me happy and having the best time ever while doing it.
How did you get your start?
My brother, Steve, was an incredible snowboarder in his era, before he gave it up due to an injury. Snow Valley Resort (
What's your home hill?
Park, pipe or big mountain?
All Mountain.
What is an average day for you?
Everyday is something different. I always wake up early; I hate sleeping and I always need to be doing something or I get entirely stir crazy. Hopefully, I am going to go snowboard or surf.
If I am snowboarding, there is no average day. The mountain environment is so vast that it presents way too many opportunities to do something really good. So I do something new daily. Hopefully, bigger and better so I have bragging rights at the end of the day.

Anyone who has something positive to say.
Advice to those coming up?
Try it all and gain as much experience in life. Snowboarding is only one of the many talents you have.
Oh yeah…make sure to land on your feet.

What do you spend your summers doing?
I am fortunate enough to have the summer season off. I have lately found a new hobby of scuba diving and I am going to get fully certified to instruct (while travelling). I also continue with general education and take courses (or read) in whatever interests me at the time. I would like to know something about everything. Besides that: Surf, skate, and BBQ.
Tell us about your worst spill?
I’m the oldest rider on the roster…too old and too many to remember, but they all hurt at my age. Still riding like I am 20, feeling like I’m 80. Old Man Michals…
What's the goal for this coming season?
Always snowboard everyday like it’s my last.
